Just a Place to Post

Sometimes in the big world of blogging you can just get lost in all the busyness of it all. I enjoy reading old blogs as well as discovering new but it's always nice to have a place to come home and rest.

This is what I do here. Just come home and rest from it all. Rest from the reading, rest from the writing and just lay back and feel the wind.

Like a cool drink of water to my mind this place is. No constraints, no restraints....just my good ole "Box Fan" pulling out all the old and blowing in the new.

I wonder if anyone peers in here from time to time. If you happen upon my refuge there is only two rules.

1. Rest
2. Be quiet

Enjoy the Air. That one is not a rule but it is a requirement!

Simple Instructions

Introduction to The Box Fan.

Items needed:
2 windows
1 box fan

Instructions for installation:
1. Raise both windows. Preferably have windows located on opposite side of room.
2. Take box fan and place in first window.
Note: This step is not as easy as it would appear. First make sure the fan is positioned in the window backwards. The front of the fan should face the outside.
3. Close window down onto top of the fan.
Note: Make sure you balance the fan well and bring the window down toward top front so that your fan controls can be easily accessed with re-opening the window.
4. Turn fan on.
Note: If a big blast of air blows in your face......turn the fan around see #2 Note.
5. Position your bed, or wherever you sleep in between the two windows.

Purpose:
The box fan should pull out the hot air, and miraculously cool air will blow through the other window.

Now lay back and enjoy the cool breeze, nothing like it after a hot summers day in the south.

Some of my fondest childhood memories are of summers spent at my grandparents house where I first encountered the magic of "The Box Fan". Couldn't we all use something that would pull out the old and bring in the new. I know I'd welcome a bit of fresh air ever now and again.
