Well Blow Me Down

You know some days I do pretty good at watching and listening and then some days I just get blown away. I mean I've got my feet firmly planted but sometimes my mind just gets slapped by a cold wind of absurdity that I just didn't see coming. I ask myself rhetorically and quite often "what in the world is this world coming to?" Knowing the answer ahead of time doesn't make it any easier to take when it finally hits.

You know that kind of day when you shiver from the blast but then your face heats up from shame that turns to flaming hot anger. It's amazing how cold and hot can be so intertwined. Dang I've shivered from both extremes, meaning I've been so hot I got cold chills and so cold that it burned.

The world would wish to keep you reeling between fluctuating tempers and we all fall prey to one side or the other once in awhile. You know what it's okay I think to be cold and hot sometimes. I believe it's when you try to mix the two and you find yourself in a mediocre state of lukewarm that trouble begins.

It's a result of attempting to please both sides and the man-pleaser just usually finds him/herself sitting the fence while the other two sides remain intact.

It can be "cold as ice" and/or "hot as hell" one we can experience now and prove because last I checked ice is cold but you know what if you leave it too long in one spot it will burn you. I've even heard the term "cold as hell" so I assume that hell is both right?

They say if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen so again with the references we have is the kitchen like hell I'm just asking cause that's where the coldest and hottest things I own reside. Curious to me both are associated with food. Guess we are what we eat?

There's a cool word hot off the press just sit and spell and see which one you feel.
